Advanced settings

Advanced settings (screens)

Sleep Mode1

Configure how the device behaves when not displaying content during non-operating hours.
Choose between:

  • Software - black screen, device is on: Works on all devices. Energy optimization is limited to the settings of individual displays (ex. LG turns off to save energy).
  • Hardware - device turns off: works only on devices that are preconfigured and support this feature.

Kiosk Mode2

Recommended if you intend to use the device only for digital signage purposes.
This setting locks the device to ScreenManager app only, preventing any unauthorized changes via remote control and guaranteeing uninterrupted 24/7 playback.
You can exit the lock down mode by pressing right arrow key 5 times on the remote control and entering pin code: 1090. You can also disable this setting from the device settings.
If this feature is not available for this device, please contact support, if you would like to enable it.

Proof of Play Logs3

Enable/disable collection of proof of play logs.
When enabled, the device will collect and send proof of play logs to verify content playback. This helps track what content was actually displayed and when.

Network Time Protocol (NTP) Server4

In digital signage, an NTP server ensures all signage devices share the same accurate time so scheduled content, synchronized playback, and reporting work correctly.
Specify a custom NTP server for time synchronization by adding it’s name in the field. Leave empty to use default NTP servers.

Video Playback Mode5

Enable this option if you experience issues with video playback on Android devices.
If disabled, the screen will play videos only in webview.

Content Preloading6

Preloading controls when and how content is loaded into device memory (not storage). Content Preloading ensures:

  • No delays or buffering when content starts
  • Smooth playback of high-resolution videos
  • Continued operation even if the internet goes down
  • Accurate start times for scheduled content

Specify your preload strategy. Choose between:

  • Disabled: Content is loaded into memory only when it needs to be displayed, Lowest memory usage but may cause slight delays when transitioning content.
  • Preload before start: Content is loaded into memory a specified time before it needs to be displayed. Balanced approach for smooth transitions with moderate memory usage.

Specify Period time: how many seconds before scheduled start time preloading content should begin.

  • Preload all: All content is always loaded in memory. Higher memory usage but ensures immediate content transitions and is optimal for AI detection use cases.
