How to set up Samsung TV with ScreenManager
If your TV was set up with settings before or was used with a different Digital Signage system, you should make a Factory reset first.
If your TV is new, continue reading.
1. Turn on the display
2. Choose language
3. Connect the TV to internet
4. Choose Installation type
Choose Manual setup.
5. Choose display orientation
Depending on your need, choose Landscape, Portrait or Auto orientation.
6. Player Selection
In the Player Selection, choose Custom App and type in the following URL: https://api.screenmanager.tech/tizen
7. Connect to RM Server
Press Skip in the Connect to RM Server menu.
8. Auto Power Off
Select the Off option.
9. Set Current time.
It is very important to set the exact current Date and Time!
10. Set PIN menu
Click on Next and then Done to skip setting up the PIN.
11. Pair the Device with your Account
To pair the TV with your ScreenManager account, press the Home1 button on your remote and then select the Custom App2 at the bottom menu bar.
12. Pairing code
You'll see a pairing code displayed on the screen. If you scan it, you will be taken to your ScreenManager account, where you’ll only need to name the device/display and then you can start using our software immediately.
Alternatively, you can add the pairing code into the ScreenManager web administration manually, name the device and start using the software. To do so:
On your computer or smartphone, navigate to https://client.screenmanager.tech/ and log into your account.
Go to the Screens1 section and click on the New Screen2 button.
Enter the pairing code3 you see on your Samsung TV and click Pair screen4.
13. Set up your screen
Name your screen and choose its rotation.
Optionally, you may also set up Device groups and set up screen orientation.
As well as immediately add a Playlist to your new screen.
That's it! You are ready to start presenting content on your screen.
Possible problems and their solutions
ScreenManager application does not work on my Samsung TV
Make sure that your Samsung TV is on the list of Supported Versions of Tizen Devices.
Generally, any device above version 6.5 is compatible.
