ScreenManager + Sony AITRIOS IMX500 + BRAVIA Professional — Smarter Digital Signage in Action

Sony Bravia with ScreenManager CMS and AI camera

ISE 2026 is underway in Barcelona (Feb 3–6), and we’re exhibiting together with Sony at Hall 3, Stand 3E300. Our joint demo shows a practical, production-ready concept we call “AI Barista”: digital signage that adapts in real time to who’s in front of the screen and what they’re buying—without any manual intervention.

The setup combines:

  • ScreenManager CMS (content, playlists, trigger rules)
  • Sony AITRIOS / IMX500 intelligent vision sensor (edge AI detection signals)
  • Sony BRAVIA Professional display (the signage endpoint)

The concept: a digital “barista” that suggests the next best item

In cafés and quick-service environments, the most effective upsell is often the simplest: coffee + cake. The problem is consistency—staff is busy, and static signage can’t react to the moment.

AI Barista solves that with a straightforward rule engine:

1) Four audience groups (simple segmentation that scales)

The system segments viewers into four target groups:

  • Young male
  • Older male
  • Young female
  • Older female

The goal isn’t “hyper-personalization.” It’s reliable, operationally safe segmentation that allows you to tailor creative and offers to broad groups.

2) Context from objects: coffee and cake

In addition to audience detection, the camera can also detect key objects in the scene—here, coffee and cake.

That context turns the screen from “advertising” into a helpful suggestion.

3) The upsell logic (coffee ⇄ cake)

The rule loop is intentionally simple:

  • If the camera sees coffee + a male, the screen promotes a cake upsell
  • If the camera sees cake + a male, the screen promotes a coffee upsell
  • (And equivalently, creatives can be tailored for young/older segments and for female audiences using the same rule structure.)

The point is not the specific product pair—it’s the pattern: detect intent → recommend the complement.

How the integration works (sense → decide → display)

The demo is built as an end-to-end pipeline:

  1. IMX500 produces edge AI signals (audience attributes + selected object detections).
  2. AITRIOS provides the operational layer to manage devices and route those signals reliably.
  3. ScreenManager consumes the signal stream and executes trigger-based playlists—switching content instantly based on rules you configure.

This architecture keeps the experience fast and robust, while allowing marketing teams to change creatives and rules without rebuilding the stack.

The big Sony announcement at ISE: BRAVIA Professional Displays BZ-P Series

A major topic at ISE 2026 is Sony’s newly announced BRAVIA Professional Displays BZ-P Series, a long-awaited refresh of Sony’s professional BRAVIA lineup.

Sony has presented a redesigned range of 4K HDR pro models across three tiers:

  • BZ40P (flagship)
  • BZ35P (enhanced)
  • BZ30P (core)

The lineup spans 43" to 85" and is positioned for professional environments with emphasis on deployment-ready features and strong visibility characteristics. Sony communications also indicate availability in summer 2026 (region-dependent).

For AI-triggered signage, that matters: once content becomes dynamic, the display endpoint needs to be built for real-world operating conditions—high ambient light, long operating hours, and consistent performance.

Why “AI Barista” resonates with visitors

This use case works on a show floor because it’s instantly understandable and commercially grounded:

  • Clear ROI logic: higher attach rate on complementary products
  • Better customer experience: relevant suggestion at the right moment
  • Operational simplicity: same system can run across locations with centralized management
  • Creative agility: change offers by time of day, stock availability, or campaign goals—without touching the hardware layer

See it live at ISE 2026 (Hall 3, Stand 3E300)

If you’re visiting ISE this week, come by Sony’s booth (Hall 3, 3E300) to see AI Barista in action and talk through how audience + object triggers could map to your venue—whether that’s cafés, food courts, convenience retail, or corporate dining.
